Ashley Gillen | RID, ASID
Co-Founder and FF&E Principal
Ashley is a lifestyle creator of spaces both large and small. Working in the industry for over twenty years, she has been involved with a variety of projects ranging from global resort properties to private residences, and her most adventurous project yet, a luxury yacht.
“In my youth, I had no idea I wanted to be a designer. I loved art in all forms and, thanks to my mother, had an epiphany while attending Tulane University that Interior Design, as a profession, would be a good fit for me. I enrolled in the Interiors program at LSU and from that moment on, was off and running.”
Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design and is also NCIDQ certified in the State of Texas. In her design career, Ashley has been fully immersed in the design side of the industry, developing relationships with vendors and manufacturers on a global scale.
“I love the research and development process – pulling fabrics and trims, gathering, and collecting furniture and art – it’s like putting a giant puzzle together. Having been in the industry for a while now, I find it fun and rewarding to pull from my vast personal library of sources and styles to create a unique and personalized vision.”
When not at work, Ashley can be found on the tennis courts and volunteering as an advisor for Chi Omega at Tulane and with her family. Ashley is a mother of twin boys, wrangler of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and wife to her husband Garland, who is a local New Orleans TV sportscaster.
